Golden State Warriors
There’s only one team in the league that can say they outdid the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls 72-10 season. That the 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors who won 73 out of 82 games. They ran through the league like a freight train without breaks. These weren’t close games either. They were beating teams by an average of ten points.
They had it all. Guys who could score all over the court, defensive minded players and an incredible bench. Most of all, they were a team. On the court, they played together and didn’t care about individual stats. They just wanted to win. Off the court they had fun together. These two things kept them on top of the league for years.
The Warriors had great players before as well. Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin were a force. It earned them the name RUN TMC. The three of them alone averaged 72 points a game. Let’s not forget the Warriors “We Believe” team. They had Baron Davis, Al Harrington, and Jason Richardson who helped upset the number 1 Dallas Mavericks.
Black Order
The Golden State Warriors were the new evil empire, despite the fact that they didn’t buy their teams. The first couple of championships came from players picked up in the NBA draft. No matter what they were called, they were dominant. The Black Order were just as deadly as the Warriors. What’s even better is they’re a team that Thanos created. One that seemed to be tightly knit as well. Just like the Warriors continue to be. You can also look at the decades that the Black Order were five of the most feared beings in the universe and attribute it to the five years the Warriors made it to the finals.
The Golden State Warriors seemed unbeatable. A lot had to happen in order for them to lose. Akin to when the Black Order lost. And it wasn’t an easy feat. Not even the Avengers could beat them on their first try. A testament to how tough they are. The Warriors may be hurting now, but this won’t last forever. Ebony Maw (Steph Curry), Black Dwarf (Draymond Green), and Corvus Glaive will be back and ready to wreak havoc on the NBA.
