Boston Celtics
To many, the Boston Celtics are the most storied franchise in NBA history. They have the most championships of all time (beating the Lakers by one), they’ve had a decade of dominance with Bill Russell, and have always lived by the idea of playing like a team. Despite the idea of team, the Celtics are another franchise with multiple Basketball Hall of Fame players.
Larry Bird who’s known as one of the best shooters and teammates in league history. With more championships than fingers and the first player coach you have Bill Russell. At point guard, Bob Cousy was one of the first players to throw a behind the back pass. He wasn’t being fancy, he said, “The fact of the matter is that I had never even thought of such a maneuver until the moment the situation forced me into it. It was purely and simply one of those cases when necessity is the mother of invention.”
Now, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and Gordon Hayward are wearing Celtics’ Green. They compete and beat the best of them. Brad Stevens has them working as a team and this is why they’re playing better than they have. Come playoff time, they’re going to upset some unsuspecting teams.
Nick Fury
The original dynasty needs the original spy. There may have been spies before him, but none of them had the style and cool of Nick Fury. He reinvented the spy game and transformed it into something else. He was the guy who created the Avengers Initiative in the first place and recruited Tony Stark.
When Captain America was defrosted, it was Nick Fury who calmed him down and later gave him a purpose. And when the Avengers were fighting among each other, he was the one who was willing to lie to get them together.
Nick Fury isn’t known for having fancy clothes or powers and what he does isn’t going to get his name in the paper. Fury just does whatever it takes to get the job done. He isn’t always going to play nice with others, and the people he isn’t teammates with will hate him. All that said, he will get the job done. That’s the Celtics in a nutshell. They’ve had some hated players. Larry Bird is known for talking smack. People hated Paul Pierce when he wasn’t on their team. Nick Fury and the Celtics are a perfect fit.
