Superhero movies: 20 best superhero movie fight scenes of the decade

9. Don’t mess with Martha
Movie: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
There have been a good amount of Batman portrayals over the years. There was Adam West, Michael Keaton, and Christian Bale (we don’t mention the other two). The most recent was Ben Affleck. He was unlike the others for two big reasons.
First, he was older. This Bruce Wayne had been Batman long enough to experience the death of a Robin (allegedly). It made him harder. Second, he was more violent than any other Batman. This hardened Batman was on full display when he went to save Superman’s mother.
Batman popped into the warehouse where Martha Kent was being held and brutally beat or killed all of Luthor’s goons. The Batman we know is ruthless, but not like this. He didn’t seem to care what happened to the people he was fighting. Honestly, it was a good change in pace.
Why it ranks as one of the greatest fight scenes from this decade’s superhero movies
We’ve all wanted to know what it would look like if Batman didn’t hold back. Well, we got it. It’s not pretty if you’re a villain. Not having to worry about someone dying meant he could be more creative (as if Batman needed that). We saw an array of moves that we’ve never seen from the Dark Knight. There was even a Rock Bottom thrown in there. You can say that he didn’t kill some of those men. However, that guy with the flamethrower is definitely dead.
