Movie: Man of Steel (2013)
Man of Steel was the first movie in the DC Comics Extended Universe (DCEU). They were going for a joined series of superhero movies similar to what was going on with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A novel idea considering DC Comics has some of the best characters of all time. Among them is them is Superman, a hero many consider the greatest of all-time.
The challenge was doing this movie in a way that made it look modern. They did just that. A good example was Superman’s first real conflict; fighting Kryptonians.
The challenge came from his opponents being bred to fight. While Superman may have had experience using their powers, these Kryptionians were genetically made for war. This fight goes exactly like you’d assume it would with billions of dollars of property damage.

We’ve seen the kind of damage Superman can do in the comics. Now, we get to see it in current times. This let everyone know that Superman was going to hit harder than ever. Not just him, but the villains as well. Zod’s people were putting a whooping on a novice Superman. That made Superman’s victory that much sweeter. Man of Steel is a sleeper. There’s no reason why people shouldn’t talk about it more.
