2. Agent Preston

Played by: Retta

Deadpool has award-winning trust issues. If he lets you into his life, that means he loves you. It’s usually women that have the easiest time reaching him. There was Siryn, Blind Al, and, most recently, S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Emily Preston. She came into Wade’s life and turned it into something positive. She helped guide him through finding his daughter, calming his rage, and learning that he could have a family that loves him.

Blind Al is great, but she’s not going to be around forever. Agent Preston is a new character that adds everything Blind Al does. Well, except for the drug use. Plus, she has a family. Something Deadpool is learning isn’t an F-word. Being around Preston helped Deadpool become a more positive person. Blind Al didn’t help much when Vanessa died. Preston would no doubt give all of that tough and sarcastic love with a much more sensitive side. It’s probably because Preston is a mother. She just gets it. Also, with Preston comes S.H.I.E.L.D.

If you’re familiar with Retta from Parks and Rec or Good Girls, you’ll know she can act. She’s the perfect pick to play Deadpool’s motherly figure. She can be sarcastic, serious, and most likely throw a mean right hook.
