Marvel’s Moon Knight lands The Witcher writer Beau DeMayo

Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight TV series for Disney Plus has landed a writer from The Witcher.
There has been a lot of excitement surrounding the Disney Plus’ Moon Knight, especially from comic book fans. The informed know he is one of the more brutal characters in Marvel Comics, and the uninformed are in for a treat. Moon Knight isn’t just violent, there’s a depth and a sense of wackiness involved to him and his cast of characters. People continue to get thrilled as the series continues to develop. And now, we have more news. Moon Knight has added The Witcher writer Beay DeMayo to its creative team.
ComicBook.com reports that the writer has “has moved on from The Witcher and has since joined the writing staff for Moon Knight.” They also went on to say “this does not mean that DeMayo isn’t leaving The Witcher completely. That show has become one of Netflix’s most recent hits. If you’re a fan of Moon Knight (or just enjoy good programming) then this should be good news. DeMayo is a strong pick-up for Marvel.

As it was mentioned earlier, Moon Knight is a vicious, yet deep character. If you’ve seen The Witcher, you know the same statement is true for Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer. Both of them are more than just their abilities and reputation. They’ve been put through things that have dramatically changed who they are.
Moon Knight (who goes by Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley during the day) has gone through multiple changes over the years. Beyond having split personalities, he bounces back and forth from being fine with brutality to trying to not be the terrifying avatar of Khonshu. There’s no doubt Beau DeMayo and the rest of the writing staff will be able to capture the essence of Moon Knight and his supporting cast.

Moon Knight has the potential to be another successful project for Marvel Studios. He has all of the traits that make for a great star. If what Beau DeMayo added to The Witcher is any indication of what he can do, then the show is in good hands.
