By Mark Lynch
Marvel may be know for their movies, but the Marvel Television shows have been sensational as well. Let’s take a look at the greatest Marvel TV shows of all-time.
Marvel Comics characters have been gracing our screens for decades. They’ve had hit movies since the first Blade and X-Men and will continue to make fantastic films going forward. There have been some bumps in the road. Spider-Man 3, X-Men: The Last Stand, and “Deadpool” in X-Men: Wolverine Origins are widely recognized as stains on the comic book movie genre. In 2008 Marvel Studios launched their own empire and it wasn’t long after Marvel tried their hand in the TV genre with the launch of Marvel TV. A move that proved to be profitable and popular.
After putting Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, Marvel TV started putting shows on other channels. Netflix, FX, and Hulu all had Marvel TV programs that people binged and enjoyed. They did something creative as well. Instead of only using popular characters like the mainstream X-Men and Avengers, they dug deep. They used a plethora of unknown heroes and villains. Some of them may not make it to the mainstream movies, but they worked for the projects they were making. Things were changed from the comic to adapt it to the shows, but it almost always worked out.
In late 2019, it was announced that Marvel TV would shut down with current projects folding into Marvel Studios. In celebration of Marvel TV’s run, this article is going to break down all thirteen Marvel TV shows, ranking from them worst to best.
Things like reception and how long the show was on air will be taken into consideration. Some of the reviews will be favorable. Others, not so much. A perfect example of the latter coms with our opening slide.
