1. Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn

Margot Robbie proved again why she is one of the best performers in the superhero genre. She nailed Harley Quinn from start to finish. In addition to being the central character, she also served as the narrator of the story. Some fans have criticized her voice, but it worked perfectly with the theme of the movie. It could be because most of us are used to hearing Tara Strong’s rendition from the animated projects. Robbie’s acting is still superb as well. She was a near-flawless representation of Harley Quinn as she is in the recent comics. Quinn is very goofy, but she’s no fool. You could see this through the way she outsmarted everyone, from her enemies to her friends. An underappreciated quality is her ability to care. At first, Harley may have been apprehensive about taking Cassandra under her wing but, as time went on, you could see that she was more than happy to have her around.

The big question going into this film was whether or not Robbie’s Harley Quinn could carry a movie and now we know she can. Yes, there were stellar performances from the entire cast, but she was the star and focal point. There was a lot of pressure on Robbie because Harley is such a beloved character, but she handled that pressure and did better than expected. Margot Robbie has a long and bright future ahead of her as Harley Quinn.
