It’s Valentine’s Day! That means it’s time to look at some superhero couples across film, TV, and comics to help prepare you for Cupid’s arrow.

Whatever your feelings are towards Valentine’s Day, the holiday has been part of the superhero genre for some time now. And no matter how you decide to spend February 14th — with a loved one, friends, or even on your own — you can get in the mood with some of your favorite supers.

Over the years, we’ve seen superhero couples come to life in the form of comics, films, and TV. We’ve done a deep dive into the Arrowverse couples (and don’t be surprised if one or two of these couples make a cameo on this list too), but TV isn’t the only place to find the genre’s greatest couples.

Whether these superhero couples have been put through the test of time in comics or have been recently introduced in a TV show or film, they all have one thing in common — their intense love for their significant other. They have, either literally or figuratively, gone to the ends of the Earth, and sometimes beyond, for each other.

Romeo and Juliet may have defined a generation of romance stories, but these superhero couples are our modern-day inspirations.
