10. Wanda Maximoff and Vision (MCU Films & WandaVision Disney+ Show)

The relationship between Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and Vision dates back to 1973 in The Avengers comic, however, it has played a role more recently within the MCU (and the upcoming Disney+ show). What’s interesting about this relationship is that it seems very unlikely — a powered human (mutant in the comics) and an android.

The MCU did a great job of showing how Vision evolved, even going as far as to set up a possibility of his existence without the Mind Stone. When we first meet him in Age of Ultron, he very much seems more robot than a man. With each subsequent appearance, a more human side of Vision seems to be evolving, with the slightest hints at his feelings for Wanda.

By the time we get to Infinity War, Wanda and Vision have been dating in secret for the last two years. One of the biggest travesties of Infinity War is that we don’t get more time with these two characters — the emotional end to their arc in this film doesn’t hit quite as hard as it should because of the lack of backstory we have with them.

Thankfully, that’s about to be rectified with the Disney+ series WandaVision. The series will explore their life together from what appears to be through a sitcom lens; though we did catch a glimpse of Wanda breaking back into reality during the Super Bowl commercial for Disney’s streaming service.

What to watch this Valentine’s Day: Looking to get your fill of Wanda and Vision this Valentine’s Day? Unfortunately, the Disney+ series doesn’t arrive until December 2020, but you can watch any of the Avengers movies from Age of Ultron on (save for Endgame) to see their relationship blossom — though Infinity War best captures it.
