6. Felicity Smoak and Oliver Queen (The CW’s Arrowverse)

Yes, controversial! But without Felicity, Oliver would never become that man he needed to be. Others helped him, sure — John, Barry, Sara — but Oliver may not have become the hero we saw in Season 8 who helped rebuild the multiverse.

Were there bad times? Sure. But that happens in most 22-23 episode long seasons. Overall, there may be no relationship that’s as important as this one in the Arrowverse. And the moments these two shared onscreen together were almost always great. Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards chemistry together is maybe matched by only one other Arrowverse couple.

Every foot-in-mouth moment with Felicity is so adorably awkward that you feel her embarrassment. It’s also part of what charmed Oliver. And no matter how much Oliver messed up, and boy did he mess up a lot, Felicity would never give up on him. This writer isn’t the type to root for “ships”, but when it comes to Olicity? Count me in.

What to watch this Valentine’s Day: Lucky for you, you can get your binge on with Netflix and watch all eight seasons of Arrow now. There are too many great moments to just choose one, but if you’re looking to limit what you watch; stick with the earlier seasons to catch some of those classic Felicity Smoak-isms.
