Supergirl’s 100th episode: Which characters should return?
Supergirl’s 100th episode is going to be something special. Along with the stellar regular cast, these characters have been confirmed as returning.
Winn
In photos released by The CW, it appears Winn will be back for the 100th episode fun! While he seemingly left at the end of “Back From the Future – Part 2”, something must bring him back (along with another traveler from the future). Winn is certainly important to the mythos of Supergirl, and it’s great to have him back for this special episode; it just doesn’t feel as special since we’ve seen him in the previous two episodes.
Ben Lockwood AKA Agent Liberty
As TVLine reported, Agent Liberty will return! As one of the better villains on Supergirl, it’ll be exciting to see his return. Season four produced one of the better villains and series arcs with this character, and the conversation Ben Lockwood started was interesting. He was dead wrong but to have Supergirl revisit this villain could be interesting.
Samantha Arias AKA Reign
In the same TVLine article, it was revealed that Reign will be coming back as well. It’s no surprise they would want to revisit this character. Season three (and the Samantha/Reign character) was another one of the better seasons in Supergirl‘s history (this series seems to improve with each and every season). While there is little reasoning to be done with Reign, one would suspect that her appearance in Supergirl‘s 100th is linked to a scene with Lena Luthor.
Mon-El
The main reveal from the TVLine article was that Mon-El would be returning. Romantically, Kara has no bigger connection than with Mon-El. While he ended up in the 31st century and married someone else, the impact Kara had on him led to the creation of the Legion. His return for the 100th episode is a no-brainer and, based on the pictures provided to TVLine, is dire. He returns, with Winn, from the 31st century; likely because of something to do with Mxyzptlk.
