This Sunday, Supergirl returns to The CW for a brand new episode. But it isn’t just any episode: It’s the show’s 100th installment.
Starring Melissa Benoist, Supergirl originally debuted on CBS back in 2015, but it wasn’t long before it was welcomed into the Arrowverse, as part of the agreement of its second-season renewal was that it would be moving to The CW.
The show has been incredibly popular over the past five years. It has given fans of Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers another live-action portrayal they can love, and it has also introduced new fans to DC Comics heroes and villains. Moreover, it has always championed inclusion, love and diversity – things we don’t see enough of on TV.

It’s hard to believe that there are now 100 episodes of Supergirl. The show has seen the Girl of Steel unite with the likes of Alex Danvers, Cat Grant, J’onn J’onzz, Brainiac-5, Mon-El, Winn Schott, Nia Nal and Lena Luthor to go up against some of the deadliest villains in the galaxy, including her aunt Astra (and her husband Non), Indigo, Rhea Queen of Daxam, Reign, Agent Liberty, Leviathan and even Superman enemy Lex Luthor.
With 100 episodes to celebrate, it’s safe to say the milestone adventure, titled “It’s A Super Life”, is going to be an emotional one, full of memories, throwbacks and special returns, so get the tissues ready!
