This Wednesday night, a brand new episode of Riverdale will air on The CW. The show was off our screens for a brief hiatus, but now it will return to give us the other end of a major cliffhanger.
Riverdale season 4 has documented Jughead Jones’ (Cole Sprouse) apparent murder during Spring Break. Through flash-forwards, it has teased viewers by adding a little more to the Jughead mystery.
But the latest installment shocked viewers altogether when it was revealed that all was apparently how it seemed and that Jug’s beloved girlfriend Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) was the one who apparently killed him.

It all went down after Donna Sweet (Sarah Desjardins) activated her apparent serial killer gene through speaking a mystery word, and the next thing we knew Jughead was lying in a pool of blood on the ground. Has Riverdale‘s answer to Nancy Drew taken out her own boyfriend, or is something else in play here?
Meanwhile, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) – both of whom have had their own family issues as of late – have now found themselves dragged into this, as they were the ones who discovered Betty over Jughead’s prone body.
