Supergirl’s fifth season has taken yet another hiatus from The CW, but here’s when the Girl of Steel will make her return.

Supergirl has been airing its fifth season on The CW. A show that once started on CBS, it moved to the sister network to join fellow Arrowverse shows for its second season – and ever since, it’s been a part of its line-up.

Centering on Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers, a woman from the planet Krypton who goes on to become earth’s champion as the Girl of Steel, the show has documented her heroic journey ever since. And the fifth season has seen her face some of her greatest battles yet.

With the threat of Leviathan putting pressure on her – and the changes of Crisis On Infinite Earths altering a little too much – Kara (Melissa Benoist), Alex (Chyler Leigh), Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) and the rest of the D.E.O. were forced to work with Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) – who was now in charge.

While the Girl of Steel happily remained a safe distance from Lex at all times, Alex couldn’t handle it anymore and resigned as director of the D.E.O., leaving Brainy – Lex’s reluctant assistant – in charge.

The latest episode, however, was the show’s special 100th installment, during which Kara got a chance to look back on the decisions that ultimately led to her rift with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath). Upon realizing that there was no right way of telling her that she was Supergirl, Kara confronted her and warned her that if she continued acting like a villain, she’d start treating her like one.

The show took another brief hiatus from The CW, and it made us realize how much we miss it. Fear not, however, because all of the Arrowverse shows have only taken a one-week break from the network and will return next week.

That’s right folks, Supergirl will fly back onto our screens on Sunday, March 8, with a brand new episode – titled “The Bodyguard” – in which Kara will have to protect Andrea Rojas (Julie Gonzalo) from a new threat.
