The Flash’s sixth season has taken a short hiatus from The CW, but here’s when we can it expect it to return.

The Flash is currently airing its sixth season on The CW. That said, the long-running Arrowverse veteran series will be taking a short break from the network, as it won’t air an episode this week.

The series centers on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) – a young CSI from Central City who is struck by lightning when S.T.A.R. Labs’ particle accelerator explodes and covers the city in a wave of dark matter, creating a ton of metahumans. While some of these metas decide to use their gifts for good, others use them for evil – resulting in the always kind-hearted Barry using his super-speed to save Central City as the Scarlet Speedster known as The Flash.

Over the course of the show, Barry and his team of heroes – a.k.a. Team Flash – have battled some sinister forces, including the mighty Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), who could be about to make a comeback this season.

More from Arrowverse

Season 6 has, so far, seen the heroes battle the villainous Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and face the long-teased Crisis – which took place across the historic five-part Crisis On Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover. Now, however, they have to deal with the threat of the unseen organization known as Black Hole.

The most recent episode, however, pulled the rug out from under viewers, as the woman that Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) had been trapped inside of a mirror with, Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor), just revealed herself to be the brand new Mirror Master. While Iris doesn’t know yet, it’s undoubtedly going to be intriguing to see if the intrepid reporter can figure it out – given her track record, she probably will.

Though The Flash is off our screens this week, there’s no need to panic because it’s only taking a one-week break and shall return to The CW next Tuesday, March 10.

The next episode, “Death of the Speed Force”, will see the long-awaited return of Wally West/Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), who shows up with some troubling news about the Speed Force.
