8. Ric Flair
Ric Flair has one of the greatest quotes in wrestling history. He’s the “The Stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ n’ dealin’ son of a gun!” It’s very braggadocious, but it’s true. Flair has been the epitome of style in professional wrestling. The classy robes, platinum blonde hair, and his struts made him recognizable. While this made him a recognized figure, it was his in-ring work that made him unforgettable.
Ric Flair had premier matches against everyone. He has this ability to make everyone look good. Including himself. His wars with Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat is recognized as one of the best feuds in wrestling history. His matches against younger guys like Shelton Benjamin and the Hurricane may seem weird on paper, but they rocked the arenas. Their styles contradict each other, but it doesn’t matter. Flair is just that good.
Tony Stark
If there’s anyone who mirrors Ric Flair in style and skill, it’s Tony Stark. Ric Flair has the robes, Tony Stark has the Iron Man armor. Ric Flair has the Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard) and Evolution (Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton). Tony Stark has the Avengers. Ric Flair has Charlotte and Tony has Morgan Stark.
Both men pride themselves on being the best and looking the part while they’re doing it. Tony Stark may have settled down with Pepper Potts, but Ric Flair the wrestler will never do that.
