This Sunday night, a new episode of Supergirl airs on The CW. Like the rest of the Arrowverse shows, it had been on a hiatus for one week, but now it’s back on our screens.
The Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) has had her hands full lately due to the never-ending threat of Leviathan. However, in recent weeks, things have taken a strange turn due to the aftermath of Crisis On Infinite Earths – the Arrowverse-altering crossover that changed the continuity and reset some major aspects of the multiverse – as Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) is now treated like a hero.
Yes, it’s been a tough time for Kara and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) working under his rule, but the latter quit her job as the D.E.O. director because she could no longer stand it. However, their close ally and friend, Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath), has also been working with Lex in a secret bid to get close to him and find out what he’s up to as he attempts to defeat Leviathan.

On top of that, Kara has been attempting to mend her friendship with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) – who turned on her when she found out that her best friend was really Supergirl.
The show recently celebrated its 100th episode in an adventure that saw Kara revisit her past – during which she realized that there was no way to tell Lena without consequences. Thus, she told her friend that if she continued acting like a villain, she’d be forced to treat her like one.
This week’s returning episode, however, will take something of a different approach, as Kara will be forced to protect Andrea Rojas (Julie Gonzalo).
