2. Captain America: Civil War

It took a while, but the inevitable Civil War arc was depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was Team Captain America vs. Team Iron Man. All the MCU heroes had to take a side, and Natasha makes an unexpected choice by opting to fight against her friends Hawkeye and Cap in favor of the Registration Act.

Back in 2015  the Black Widow actress explained that Natasha wasn’t so black or white — she’s much more complex.

"“There’s a bigger problem at hand and she’s, I think, strangely, kind of the mediator. Which is not exactly how you would imagine her to be. But I think she really does see both sides of the coin and I think her strength is that she’s not personally involved.”"

Unquestionably one of the greatest of the MCU films, Captain America: Civil War is a tale of loyalties, pride and doing the right thing. And as the events of the film played out, it was clear that Natasha’s loyalties were tested – all of them.

With things taking unexpected turns and certain characters making their long-awaited MCU debut, Civil War is both thrilling and thought-provoking, leaving us all wondering what’s going to happen to our favorite superheroes. Even after the credits rolled, there was still a shroud of mystery in regards to that. And that is what makes it so important.

There’s hope that Black Widow can now answer some of our questions. It’s been confirmed that the upcoming film takes place after the events of Captain America Civil War but, before Avengers: Infinity War. So, yes, you absolutely must check it out.
