The Flash’s sixth season is off the air once again, but here’s when we can expect it to return to The CW.

The Flash is currently airing its sixth season on The CW. However, the veteran Arrowverse show hasn’t been on our screens in recent weeks.

Now in its sixth season, The Flash follows the Arrowverse’s Scarlet Speedster Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as he uses his abilities to help those in need, becoming a beacon of hope for everyone in Central City.

Season 6 has seen Barry and his team forced to deal with a number of new problems, as the old colleague and friend of Caitlin Snow, Ramsey Rosso, transformed into the diabolical Bloodwork and created an army of undead people. And after that, they had to deal with an event over half a decade in the making – the Crisis On Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover.

More from Arrowverse

Now that the whole Arrowverse has been building its post-Crisis world, The Flash has introduced new villains in the form of Mirror Master 2, Eva McCulloch, and secret organization Black Hole.

The latest episode of the show saw Barry’s arch-nemesis, the Reverse-Flash, return in an attempt to take over Nash Wells’ body. Even though he came close, Team Flash was able to defeat him once again (for the moment).

The next episode, however, “So Long and Goodnight” will see Joe West find himself on the wrong end of a threat from Black Hole while the fake reflection of Iris will attempt to steal what’s left of Barry’s speed for Mirror Master.

Check out The CW’s official synopsis below:

"“BLACK HOLE THREATENS JOE’S LIFE – After Black Hole hires Rag Doll (guest star Troy James) to kill Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Singh (guest star Patrick Sabongui) suggests he go into Witness Protection but Joe refuses to stop investigating Carver (guest star Eric Nenninger). While investigating Carver with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) runs into Sue (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss). Iris (Candice Patton) becomes suspicious of Eva (guest star Efrat Dor).”"

The episode was initially expected to air on March 31, but after production on The CW’s Arrowverse shows were shut down due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the network was forced to reschedule a lot of its programming.

Though The Flash was then meant to return on April 7, it was delayed again, with “So Long and Goodnight” set to air on April 21 instead.

The Flash will return!
