Wonder Woman 1984 may have been delayed but that doesn’t mean you can’t see the hero in these other DC films.

Wonder Woman was a staple in the DC Extended Universe as a movie that put a positive stamp on a franchise that previously had its issues. The film was the first DCEU movie to win over critics and fans alike. Naturally, fans were excited to see its sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Patty Jenkins’ the sequel was pushed back from its original Jun. 5, 2020 release date.

According to Variety, Wonder Woman 1984 will now hit theaters Aug. 13, 2020. Jenkins’ follow up will undoubtedly have lofty expectations. Gal Gadot was set to return along with Ron Wright and Chris Pine. Joining them were newcomers, Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig.

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest news, it’s clear this is part-origin story for Wonder Woman’s arch-nemesis, Cheetah who’ll be played by Wiig. Pascal will play Maxwell Lord who, in the comics, is known as the Checkmate operative and mastermind evildoer. The duo will likely collide in an effort to take down Wonder Woman.

We’ll have to wait until August for the film’s release, but it doesn’t mean we can’t get our DC fix in the meantime. Whether it’s the animated movies or films in by DCEU, there’s a way to see Wonder Woman — here are a few films from the last decade to hold you over until then.
