4. Arrow

Where to stream: Netflix

Arrow may have been responsible for kicking off the greatest shared universe in the history of television, but it’s also one of the best superhero shows to ever grace TV in its own right.

Once hailed as TV’s answer to The Dark Knight trilogy, the show put a refreshingly dark twist on the Green Arrow’s origins, as the broody vigilante returns home from half a decade shipwrecked on an island with one goal: To save Star City.

Relive the highs and lows of the show’s decade of heroic dominance (or experience it all for the first time ever) and see the rise of Green Arrow, Black Canary and so much more by binge-watching all eight seasons.

3. Daredevil

Where to stream: Netflix

When blind lawyer Matt Murdock can no longer stand the injustice on the streets of New York, he takes it upon himself to clean up those streets by becoming the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. A different kind of quest for justice, he prepares himself for a violent war against some of the deadliest characters Marvel Comics has to offer such as the Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, The Punisher and Bullseye.

If dark and gritty superhero content is more your thing, then Daredevil is definitely the show for you. A complex and unnerving crime drama more than anything else, it doesn’t shy away from violence in order to tell its story and the strength of the writing puts it on par with some of the best shows in TV history.

A Netflix original from the all-too short-lived Netflix Marvel era, there are three seasons, a spin-off and a whole shared universe just waiting to be binged.
