Zoë Kravitz, who is playing Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman, joked that her cat suit may need adjusted once production on The Batman starts again.

While in self-isolation, Zoë Kravitz – who is playing Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman – phoned into Vanity Fair’s Little Gold Men podcast and spoke about the intense training regime she has been trying to maintain in quarantine.

Kravitz was careful not to give even the slightest bit of information away in terms of The Batman‘s plot nor her role as Catwoman. However, when asked about her training schedule during quarantine, the Big Little Lies star joked that alterations may need to be made to the cat suit:

"“Yeah. So I mean, it’s not like the studio called and said ‘Don’t get fat, b****.’ But I had been training now for maybe four or five months and the first couple weeks that I self quarantined, I remember texting the director, I texted Matt and I was like, ‘We might have to make the cat suit a few sizes bigger when this is over.”"

Kravitz then added:

"“So I quickly decide to get my s*** together and I’ve been working out virtually with my trainer David Higgins five days a week… It’s actually been really great just for my mental health… But yeah, try to stay in decent shape so I don’t have to start from scratch.”"

As many know, The Batman was forced to halt its production in the UK last month due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Its director and co-writer, Matt Reeves, gave an update on social media some weeks back, confirming that production is suspended until further notice.

Centering on a young, but established caped–and–cowl crusader fairly early on in his crime-fighting career The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. Matt Reeves is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin. Reeves and Dylan Clark are producing for Pearl Street Films in association with 6th and Idaho Productions. Warner Bros. is set to distribute.

The Batman was originally intended for release in June, but due to the delays, it will now soar and glide into theaters on October 1, 2021.
