The Flash season 6, episode 17: Do Barry and Iris break up?
The Flash season 6’s latest episode had fans concerned for the beloved West-Allen relationship between Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen, but did they break up?
The relationship between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton) has been the heart and soul of the Arrowverse ever since it first became obvious that the pair were destined to be together.
Comic book royalty come to life, they were quite literally the gold standard, and that was emphasized when the pair married in season 4, bringing the West-Allens together in marriage.
However, lately in The Flash season 6, things have been rough for the pair, simply because of the fact that Iris has been kidnapped by Mirror Master herself Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor) – who spawned a reflective copy of the show’s leading lady to take her place.
Things got surprisingly tough last week when the mirror Iris caused an argument between the pair that we never thought we’d see, and it’s left us all wondering if the end is nigh for West-Allen… well, this version of it.
Did Barry and Iris break up on The Flash season 6?
Last week’s cliffhanger ending was a jaw-dropper. Never did Flash fans expect to see any version of Iris tell Barry that they were done – least of all Barry himself.

However, that proved to be the wakeup-call the Scarlet Speedster required as it was the moment he knew something was wrong with Iris.
Spurred on by shock and anger, Barry confronted mirror Iris in this week’s episode of The Flash – season 6, episode 17 “Liberation” – for her actions, questioning why she broke up with him before confirming that she was never his Iris.
Meanwhile, the real Iris began to suspect Eva when the Mirror Master’s claims just weren’t adding up.
Barry’s unintentional relationship with Mirror Iris is over after she sacrificed herself so that he could find the real Iris, but if that last scene tells us anything, it’s that West-Allen is alive and well. And we couldn’t be happier.
