This Wednesday, a new episode of Riverdale season 4 airs on The CW. The show returned two weeks ago and after another hiatus, it’s back for another offering.
The veteran CW series has been a part of the network’s line-up since early 2017 and gained an international following due to streaming worldwide on Netflix. Its fourth season is currently airing on The CW and arrives the following day on the streaming service.
The show was forced to take an unexpectedly lengthy hiatus a number of weeks back when production in Vancouver had to be shut down due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Though it had planned a break, it was extended out of fear that Riverdale season 4 might run out of episodes.

The show’s episode count has unfortunately been reduced, but it returned to screens two weeks back for its third-annual musical episode – a tribute to Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
The episode was considered controversial and was met with criticism from fans for forcing Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) together when they were in happy relationships with their partners Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse).
