James Olsen

Speaking of good conversationalists within the Arrowverse, sometimes you wind up getting the best stories not from the winners, but from the supporting players who helped in the background. James Olsen is, without a doubt, one of those background players.

Even considering his time as the Guardian, Olsen at his core has always been a background character – which is not necessarily a bad thing, because look at all of the wealth of knowledge that he has garnered from being a background character.

In the Arrowverse, he is a guy who has become very good friends with both Superman and Supergirl (he even fell for the Girl of Steel once upon a time), while also having once dated Lex Luthor’s sister Lena. And again, that does not even begin to cover his ground as a full blown superhero whenever he took up the mantle as Guardian.

If Olsen was in a space sitting across from us to discuss all of the stupendous battles he watched his friends duke it out in, it could offer us a grand, unbiased perspective of some of the most climactic instances of good vs. evil in the universe. We would love to hear him talk in depth about what it feels like to be both the head superhero in charge and the sidekick from the sidelines.
