With the recent controversy surrounding Ezra Miller, the DCEU’s The Flash movie remains up in the air. If Warner Bros opted to move on, there are some solid actors who could replace him.

DC’s Extended Universe is forever changing, and it has nothing to do with Flashpoint… or does it?

A recent video surfaced showing Flash actor (no not that one, the other one) Ezra Miller in which he appears to choke a woman who seemed to jokingly challenge him to a fight. As we live in a “microwave society”, reactions to this were undoubtedly swift.

Naturally, rumors begin to spread regarding Miller’s future with the DCEU, with many believing that he will be replaced, while others believe he will remain on. The young actor first made cameo appearances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad before co-starring in Justice League and appearing in 2020’s Arrowverse crossover Crisis On Infinite Earths, but will he return for the character’s 2022 solo film?

Due to everything happening in the world right now, at this point it’s difficult to say anything with certainty. That said, the DCEU must go on, and once the world returns to normal, Andy Muschietti’s Flash solo film will resume production. And someone will have to play the Scarlet Speedster.

For the sake of argument, let’s explore who could potentially replace Miller in the titular role. Grant Gustin’s name will undoubtedly get tossed around, but as he’s done such a fantastic job on The CW’s The Flash TV series, let’s keep him where he is.
