5. Rogue

Rogue has been a fan favorite for years. Her super-strength, flight, and wit made everyone love her. After she lost those powers, she still remained loved. No matter how crucial she was as a member of the X-Men, no one ever thought she’d be an Avenger. Well, not only did she become an Avenger, she lead her own squad.

Rogue’s team seemed very haphazard. Johnny Storm, Cable, Synapse, Deadpool, Wasp, Brother Voodoo, and Quicksilver. It wasn’t easy being in charge of that many personalities – especially Deadpool. But Rogue made it work. She especially helped him be more heroic.

Her team defeated a Red Skull with Professor Xavier’s brain and mind control powers – something  that Steve Rogers’ team couldn’t do (and they had Thor and Wolverine).

She didn’t have a lot of time on the X-Men in the last decade, but she’s had some life changing moments with them. Recently, her and Gambit finally got married – something we’ve been waiting on for decades. She’s currently on the Excalibur roster with Betsy Braddock as Captain Britain, Gambit, Jubilee, Rictor and Apocalypse. In a short amount of time with this team, she’s already helped save the world. The way the X-Men switch teams, it’s only a matter of time before she’s on another roster.
