3. Taylor Russell

Going with an actress who hasn’t even scratched the surface in terms of her own potential yet could be on the minds of Walter Hamada and Flash director Muschietti. Taylor Russell is an actress whose name should rise in conversations such as this because she’s on the rise (see what I did there).

Seriously, the former Disney actress is making her rounds in Hollywood. Horror fans may know from Suspension, Down The Dark Hall or the blockbuster horror/thriller Escape Room. Okay, blockbuster might be pushing it but it did make $155-million on a $9-million budget. Yes, she’s a star… but don’t mistake her for just a scream queen.

The 25-year old actress also starred in the critically-acclaimed family drama Waves as protagonist Tyler’s younger sister Emily. Russell garnered the attention of many, including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, for her acting prowess. The young actress also stars on Netflix’s Lost in Space as Judy Robinson. She’s a no-nonsense straight forward, tough as nails physician for the family forced to bear the weight of restarting the human race.

Despite the elite talent on the cast, Russell continues to shine. The series will come to end soon, leaving plenty of room for her to showcase her skills as Iris West.
