2. Avengers Of The Wastelands

Writer: Ed Brisson

Old Man Logan finally died. His last act of heroism was killing his long time nemesis Sabretooth. After that, he was finally able to rest next to his wife and kids. Logan’s fight was over, but it was just the beginning for two other heroes.

Danielle Cage (the daughter of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones) was this reality’s new God of Thunder. Along with her was the last of Bruce Banner’s kids, the new Ant-Man Dwight Barrett and a survivor of the Latverian Super Soldier project. Together, they plan on making the world a better place again. The problem is Dr. Doom is trying to take over the world.

The Old Man Logan, Old Man Hawkeye and Old Man Quill series have all been incredibly enjoyable. Seeing the older versions of some of our favorite Marvel Comics characters has been both sad and hilarious. Avengers of the Wasteland is no different. More than a few villains have popped in this series looking like shells of their former selves. You’d think being old would stop them from being dangerous. Not even close. They may not have the physical strength that they once had, but most of them still have their minds.

It’ll be interesting to see if this will be the end of the Old Man series or if this is just the beginning.
