The Harley and Poison Ivy moment we’ve been waiting for finally happened in the latest episode of Harley Quinn season 2!

Season 1 of Harley Quinn was great, but season 2 is even better – especially when it comes to the growth of the characters. More than anyone, Poison Ivy has become a completely different person. She’s become more attuned with her feelings; little by little she’s allowed her friends to help her. She even admitted how much she loved Kite Man (Hell yeah).

Harley Quinn has been a major part of Ivy’s growth. Harley has always made sure that Ivy does all the things she needs to be happy, even if it meant accepting that Kite Man is good for her. Ivy has done the same for Harley as well, making Harley realize her true strength: She never need Joker. She only needed to have faith in herself.

Many of us were shocked that Kite Man and Poison Ivy got engaged in the show – not just because Kite Man is a bit annoying, but because Harley and Ivy have become a couple in the comic books.

They love each other and are willing to die for one another. The same thing is true in the show. That said, everyone has been waiting for the moment in which they become a couple. That moment may finally have happened.

At the end of There’s No Place to Go But Down, Ivy saves Harley from falling to her death in the Pit. After that, the two hug. They’re both happy to escape the pit and be with each other. That leads to them looking deep in each other’s eyes and passionately kissing. After the kiss, they looked at each other in a look that could only mean, “Uh oh” and the credits started rolling.

This was undoubtedly the perfect way to make this long-awaited moment happen. The creators of this show didn’t instantly shoehorn the relationship between Harley and Ivy into the narrative. Instead, they slowly progressed the storyline, allowing us to see them bond as friends and be there for each other before giving it to us in a memorable moment.

Over the course of the show, there were a lot of nice things said and done between the two of them. Ivy was willing to go to prison with Harley. Harley was prepared to die so her friend could survive and get married. There was even the silly moment where they were preparing for the comedy show. All of this build-up helped ensure that their kiss was extra special.

The question now is, what’s next?

Poison Ivy is engaged to Kite Man. Harley Quinn isn’t going to try and ruin her friend’s relationship. She loves Ivy too much to do that. However, Poison Ivy may not see it that way.

Ivy has never loved anyone the way she loves Harley. You could see it throughout the series. It’s going to be difficult for her to decide what to do. She loves Kite Man and Harley, and she undoubtedly won’t want to hurt either of them.

There’s another question. How are the rest of the gang going to react? They love Harley and Ivy and probably won’t be shocked when they find out they kissed. But will this throw a wedge in the team’s dynamic? Interoffice relationships (and that term is used completely loosely) can damage any team. This could happen here as well. They may think Harley is playing favorites. Love can make you do things like that.

In the end, this will go down as one of the best moments in both Harley Quinn season 2 and the whole series. It’s unfortunate that we have to wait until the next episode to see what happens.
