Stargirl makes it debut on both DC Universe and The CW this week and here’s how you can watch season 1, episode 1 “Pilot” online.
This Monday, the new series Stargirl makes its debut. The brand new show will stream exclusively on DC Universe before being airing on The CW the very next night.
Starring Brec Bassinger in the leading role, DC Universe’s Stargirl is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It follows the adventures of a young high school sophomore who discovers Starman’s cosmic staff. In doing so, she takes up the iconic mantle and becomes Stargirl.
She will receive guidance from her uncle Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E. (Luke Wilson) and subsequently vows to protects the world from evil as the new leader of the Justice Society of America. In turn, they end up battling the Injustice Society – the team of supervillains that eradicated the JSA.
Though not an official Arrowverse series (yet), the show is set on Earth-2 in the Arrowverse – something that was established in Crisis On Infinite Earths. And this goes hand-in-hand with The CW’s television airing of the show the night following its streaming debut.
It will stream on Mondays on the DC Universe while The CW will air it on Tuesday nights in The Flash‘s slot, just prior to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
As Stargirl is a DC Universe-exclusive series, the upcoming episode can only be viewed on the paid subscription service itself (the DC Universe) in the U.S. or The CW the night after its streaming debut.
