10 comic book characters who deserve a Last Dance documentary
By Mark Lynch
5. Killmonger: The Rightful King?
The Black Panther movie did a good job making Eric “Killmonger” Stevens a character we should care about. His mission to become the king of Wakanda started as a righteous one. He didn’t want the crown for glory. He wanted to help the disenfranchised people in the world. Arm them so they could fight back.
His plan was thwarted by T’Challa, the Dora Milaje, Everett Ross, Shuri, and Nakia. If they failed, war would have started and millions of people would have died. In the end, T’Challa killed his cousin (even though this writer doesn’t necessarily believe he’s dead).
This comic book movie documentary would begin with Erik seeing his father dead and how he became the man known as Killmonger. It would be interesting to find out how he met Ulysses Klaue and how they assembled their crew. Did he get the vibranium under his lip as a kid? What was his training like? What was he like before his father was killed? There are so many questions that the fans would like answered.
We haven’t gotten into what he was like before he became Killmonger. Has he ever been in love? Who was his mentor? Who was his first kill and how did he react to his first kill marking? We need Disney+ to get on this ASAP.
