It has been a while since the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest release. If you miss seeing the Avengers’ cast assemble, you may want to check out other new content featuring the MCU actors. Their presence in current movies and shows is ubiquitous.

The last Marvel Cinematic Universe release, Spider-Man: Far From Home, came out in July 2019 and now that COVID-19 shutdowns forced Black Widow to miss its May 1, 2020 release date, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see their beloved superheroes back in action. But for those who just love watching the MCU actors work, many of them are currently featured in new movies and TV series that you can experience from the comfort of your home.

As for the Russian superspy herself, Scarlett Johansson doesn’t have anything else coming out, considering Black Widow was supposed open this month, though her Oscar nominated Marriage Story only popped up on Netflix five months ago. If you haven’t caught it yet, Johansson delivers the performance of her career, so Black Widow fans may want to give it a try. Below are many other current content featuring your favorite Avengers actors.

Chris Evans (Captain America)

Chris Evans has likely completed his run as Captain America in the MCU. After you rewatch Avengers: Endgame for the tenth time, you can also catch Evans on the Apple TV Plus miniseries Defending Jacob. MCU fans who loved Evans’ quiet intensity as Cap could definitely get on board with his exceptional dramatic turn in Defending Jacob. He plays a father who grapples with protecting his son who is on trial for murder.

J.K. Simmons, who cameoed in Spider-Man: Far From Home as J. Jonah Jameson, is fierce as Evans’ father, serving a life-sentence for a murder he committed long ago. We can expect to see Simmons appear in the next Spider-Man film, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 5, 2021. Until then, new episodes of Defending Jacob drop every Friday on Apple TV Plus.

Chris Hemsworth (Thor)

Chris Hemsworth still has a lot of Avenging to look forward to in his career. However, Thor: Love and Thunder is a long way off with its February 11, 2022 release date, and a possible appearance from Hemsworth as Thor in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wouldn’t happen until the following year. If you can’t wait that long to watch Hemsworth obliterate bad guys, check out Extraction on Netflix. The fast-paced action thriller puts Hemsworth in the middle of an extremely dangerous situation.

With bodies dropping left and right, Extraction showcases the niftiest fights and craziest action sequences since last year’s MCU releases. This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering that the director, Sam Hargrave, was the stunt coordinator for Avengers: Endgame (among other MCU movies). Also, the Russo Brothers (Endgame’s directors) worked on Extraction’s story and screenplay. Look out for David Harbour in a cool supporting role. The Stranger Things star will team-up with Scarlett Johansson this November in Black Widow.
