Supergirl season 5 has officially arrived on Netflix
Go up, up and away with Supergirl season 5 as it has finally landed on Netflix!
Supergirl season 5 entertained Arrowverse fans throughout the 2019-20 TV season as Melissa Benoist’s Girl of Steel returned for yet another unforgettable adventure. And now, all 19 episodes have officially made their presence felt on Netflix. Yes, it’s time to go up, up and away to Krypton (or National City if you’d prefer) and enjoy the show.
Though the season was initially supposed to have 20-22 episodes like each season before it, it was unfortunately cut short due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. That said, Kara Danvers and her Super Friends still put on a great show for 19 adventures and it all builds towards an epic finale that is absolutely worthwhile.
Supergirl season 5 stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Katie McGrath, Jesse Rath, Nicole Maines, Azie Tesfai, Andrea Brooks, Julie Gonzalo, Staz Nair, David Harewood and even the Monitor himself LaMonica Garrett.

Having overcome the evil reign of hatred manipulated by Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer), Supergirl and her team at the DEO is faced with the rise of ancient evil known as Leviathan. And on a personal note, Kara struggles with her lack of honesty with her friend Lena Luthor. And to top it all off, the season also features the long-awaited Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover with The Flash, Arrow, Batwoman and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
The best news about it all, however, is that Supergirl season 5 is not the last season. The CW renewed the show for a sixth season earlier this year. Season 6 will pick up where this one left off so, whenever you finish those 19 episodes, just know that the Girl of Steel will return once more.
It’s unknown when Supergirl season 6 will air on TV as of now due to current events, but it is expected to return to the network in Spring/Summer 2021, meaning that it will probably arrive on Netflix during the third quarter of the year at the earliest.
If you haven’t seen season 5 yet, then now is your chance to jump right into it!
