Two major characters make shocking returns to Legends of Tomorrow
Two major characters made unexpected returns in the latest episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
The Arrowverse‘s unique lineup of outcasts and misfits has seen some weird stuff in their time on the air, but the latest episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow just might take the cake.
Thanks to a rewrite by the Fates, the Legends ended up scattered throughout television itself. Thus, with some of them trapped in a Friends-inspired sitcom, others trapped in Downton Abbey British drama and some even trapped in a Star Trek-inspired sci-fi series, it was up to one returning character to save them from, well, their new fates.
With the Tarazis’ totem coming to life inside the sitcom, the original Zari from the deleted timeline was released into the world. And with that, she began bringing about a huge dose of clarity for the Legends – and everyone else who was forced into a life of obedience without free will.

Played by Tala Ashe, Zari Tomaz was a major character on the show during Seasons 3 and 4, but the timeline-shift in the latter’s finale resulted in her being erased from existence. As a result, her brother Behrad and the new Zari Tarazi (also played by Ashe) took form, with the latter joining the Legends and becoming one of the season’s most joyous characters.
Speaking of Behrad, he too was revived in the TV world, joining Nate and both Zaris on the sitcom Ultimate Buds. When we last saw him, he was killed by Atropos (who cut his thread) and this fueled the Legends to try even harder to retrieve the Loom of Fate. And even though they all made it out of the TV world, Behrad remained alive and well.
With both the original Zari, the new Zari and Behrad back on the team, things are going to get very interesting in the season finale next week.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW next Tuesday, June 2, at 9:00 p.m. ET. Are you looking forward to seeing the season finale? What do you think will happen next? Let us know in the comments below!
