Ruby Rose has opened up on social media about why she chose to leave Batwoman.

The news of Ruby Rose’s unexpected exit from The CW’s Batwoman sent shockwaves through the Arrowverse fandom. The news arrived less than 48 hours after the new series had aired its season finale, so with fans understandably excited for the second season, it’s safe to say that they were floored by the shock announcement.

However, now the actress has taken to social media to express her thoughts and feelings on the matter, hoping to give fans a little more clarity as to how the shock decision came about.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, she shared a fan video of some of Kate Kane’s best moments from Batwoman, thanking the cast, crew and fans who came on the journey with her in the caption. Though she didn’t go into the specifics of why she left the show so soon into its run, she did respond to a curious fan with the suggestion that she will one day.

Supergirl and Superman and Lois‘ Lois Lane, Bitsie Tulloch showed her support for the actress as she replied by telling Rose that the show just won’t be the same without her – to which Rose replied by telling her how much she’ll miss their scenes and talks.

Though Rose will no longer be a part of the show Batwoman is set to continue with a new actress being cast as the Scarlet Knight. It’s unknown yet as to who will replace her, but it goes without saying that it’ll be hard to imagine the show without her.
