Stargirl returns to DC Universe and The CW with the third episode of its debut season, and here’s how you can watch “Icicle” online.
This week, Stargirl premieres a new episode. The new superhero show originated on DC Universe two weeks back and it also airs on The CW. Now it returns for its third installment.
Stargirl‘s first two episodes were basically a two-part pilot for the show. Kicking off the adventures of the second Star-Spangled Kid, they focused on the young Courtney Whitmore and her arrival in Blue Valley with her mother Barbara (Amy Smart), stepbrother Mike (Trae Romano) and stepfather Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson).
Courtney’s understandable reluctance to leave her old life behind and her resentment towards Pat for making her do so eventually lead her to a major discovery. Figuring out that Pat used to be Starman’s (Joel McHale) sidekick in the Justice Society of America, she gained possession of the Cosmic Staff – which chose her.

After encountering Starman’s former enemy Brainwave (Christopher James Baker), Courtney teamed up with Pat – in his new robot – and became the superhero known as Stargirl. And though it was a tough battle, Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. defeated Brainwave with the Cosmic Staff and saved Blue Valley (temporarily) from his wrath.
This resulted in the arrival of the villain’s Injustice Society colleague Jordan Mahkent/Icicle (Neil Jackson). And this is someone Courtney is going to get familiar with in this week’s episode.
