New on DC Universe in June 2020: Doom Patrol, Stargirl among highlights
DC Universe will be adding new episodes of Stargirl and Doom Patrol for your viewing pleasure.
At a time when the world is still very much craving some good old-fashioned escapism, DC Universe has all the answers you comic book fans need in the month of June.
Its ever-growing collection of iconic comic books is always a joy as you can find classic titles such as The Dark Knight Returns as well as relatively recent releases such as Batman: White Knight and The Batman Who Laughs #1. However, this month you can also look out for DCEASED #2, Dog Days of Summer #1 and Catwoman (2018) Annual #1.
Stargirl, Doom Patrol and more coming to DC Universe
The streaming service will also provide you with a number of its original programs, with Stargirl entertaining you every Monday. The new DC Universe show debuted last month to rave reviews and it will kick off June with its third episode “Icicle” streaming on June 1, before a new one is added each Monday.
Another familiar DC Universe friend is Harley Quinn as the beloved animated series will continue to stream a new episode on the service every Friday, with its season 2 finale, “The Runaway Bridesmaid,” arriving on June 26.
More from DC Universe
- James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy casts more major DC characters
- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have a battle pass (and that’s a bad sign)
- Harley Quinn renewed for a fifth season on Max (and it’s well-deserved)
But the end of one season brings forth the beginning of another as critically-acclaimed DC Universe show Doom Patrol will return for its second season, streaming a new episode on Thursday, June 25 before presumably entertaining us every Thursday throughout July and August.
To make things even greater, the service is adding the animated movie Superman: Red Son. Based on the classic Elseworlds tale of the same name, the recent animated film is set during the Cold War and explores a Superman raised in the Soviet Union. It features Jason Isaacs, Amy Acker and Diedrich Bader as Superman, Lois Lane and Lex Luthor respectively.
