DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5 finale featured the return of a familiar face…
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5 came to an emphatic end when the Legends finally collided with Atropos and Lechesis in a bid to retrieve the Loom of Fate and restore reality to the way it originally was, returning free will to humanity in the process. However, their battle brought with it the return of a familiar face.
As the Legends were forced to battle the Encores once more, they ended up coming face to face with Marie Antoinette once more.
Fans of the show will know that the reason this was so special was because of the fact that Marie Antoinette is portrayed by Courtney Ford – who also played Nora Darhk on the series.
Marie first showed up earlier in the season when she attempted to get people to love her with her magical perfume – before she killed them all because she “let zem eat [too much] cake”. She was then imprisoned on the Waverider where she found herself overhearing some interesting conversations and even offered the Legends some memorable advice. Oh yeah, and her headless body tried to kill Ray and Mick with the latter’s gun.
Ford portrayed Nora Darhk in a recurring capacity on the show’s third season before she was promoted to series regular status for seasons 4 and 5. She and real life husband Brandon Routh left the show earlier this year when Nora and Ray Palmer were happily married and vowed to start a new life together – a decision that did not go down well with fans of the beloved character.
Nonetheless, it was nice to see Ford make one last appearance in the season in which she was a regular part of, and her French accent is still very much on point!
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5 has now officially come to an end. The show is expected to return to The CW in spring 2021. What did you think of the finale? Let us know in the comments below!
