Legends of Tomorrow season 5 finale preview: End of the road for Zari?
The Legends look to obtain the Loom of Fate in the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5 finale but is one Legend’s fate sealed?
It’s almost time to bid farewell to our favorite time-travelling outcasts and misfits. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5 is set to conclude tonight in an episode that is sure to be one for the ages.
Having successfully broke free from the fictional lives that the Fates had created for them with the Loom of Fate, the Legends decided that it was time to put an end to the madness once and for all by tracking down Atropos, Lachesis and Clotho/Charlie and rewriting reality so that they can restore everything to the way it once was.
The unusually titled “Swan Thong” promises to be a unique episode that’s for sure, but could it signal the end of the line for one Legend in particular? Or perhaps… one version of her?
Zari Tomaz’s (Tala Ashe) sacrifice last season saw her erased from existence as her brother Behrad Tarazi (Shayan Siobhan) took her place among the Legends. However, a new version of Zari surfaced in this new timeline. Now called Zari Tarazi, she’s a social media influencer with millions of followers on CatChat.

However, due to a lot of interactions with both the Fates and the Air Totem, things changed rapidly over the course of the season as the new Zari became a Legend, Behrad was killed and the old Zari resurfaced just as her brother was revived in the new reality. And with that, there are now three Tomaz/Tarazi siblings, leaving fans concerned that the battle with the Fates will spell doom for at least one of them.
As Behrad was recently killed and revived, the chances of him dying again seem slim, meaning that one of the two Zaris – both of whom can now coexist because of Charlie’s manipulation of the Loom – may be in jeopardy. While the restoration of the timeline suggests that the original Zari is set to disappear again – robbing her and Nate of their happy ending once more – there’s a strong chance that the Legends will use the Loom of Fate, essentially finding that loophole Zari was working on for years.
That leaves influencer Zari. She’s become such a lovable part of the team and has grown into such an incredible character that it would be awful to lose her. But has the time come? Let’s hope not!

With so much going down – plus an unexpected appearance from Sisqo – Legends of Tomorrow‘s season 5 finale is undoubtedly going to be one hilariously strange edge-of-seat adventure from beginning to end. Strap in Legends!
