Alas, we have the most ideal dinner date that anyone could ask for when looking at the MCU’s roster. And who could argue with this one? Groot may be able to give us the most compelling conversation that one could ask for from anyone in the MCU.
Groot himself has proven time and time again, movie after movie that he is the best conversationalist out of the MCU roster. For proof, one can look no further than his debut in Guardians of the Galaxy. In one of the earlier scenes he shared with Rocket Raccoon, when Groot said, “I am Groot,” I felt that. I think we all felt that and agreed wholeheartedly.
Furthermore, when he returned for the sequel to utter “I am Groot,” even the highest brow of scholars surely dissected Groot’s words and the hidden meaning behind them for years now. The philosophical implications behind some of Groot’s dialogue goes beyond anything we would have expected to appear in the confides of a family action romp.
Yes, Groot has proven himself to be a man (or tree) of the culture and a man (or tree) of such culture deserves a sit-down chat over coffee, chocolate and apples. We’d be eagerly anticipating every single word coming out of Groot’s mouth.
