3. Poison Ivy

The first and so far only time that Poison Ivy was brought to the big screen in live-action form was when Uma Thurman played her in Batman and Robin. To Thurman’s credit, she did a fine job in the role – given the material she had to work with, of course – but, to put it nicely, this is Batman and Robin we’re talking about. Poison Ivy is such a compelling character and she deserves to be in a good movie.

In the comics, Ivy has proven to be a tremendous character with interesting layers. We’ve seen many of those layers come to life in mediums like video games and animated TV shows, but it’s been over 20 years since anyone has even tried to bring her back to the big screen. Not only does a film return need to happen for Ivy, but it needs to be done the right way this time around.

Honestly, with her usual gal pal Harley Quinn now getting her own solo movie and a sequel potentially on the way now, it seems almost inevitable that we will be seeing Poison Ivy get a brand new big screen rendition sooner rather than later. Introducing Ivy in The Batman before giving her a larger role in a Harley Quinn movie sequel would be a great way to bring the character back to the big screen.
