A Storm is coming to the MCU and it could be in Black Panther 2. Here are 10 actresses who could play the role.

We’ve been impatiently waiting for Disney to introduce the X-Men into the MCU for some time now. Several rumors about how and when Kevin Feige would bring the X-Men into his next phase surfaced over the months after the merger. One such rumor has Storm as the first X-Men to make her debut in the upcoming Black Panther sequel.

Beyoncé’s rumored  three films $100-million contract with Disney has the internet abuzz. A rumor not only has her appearing in Black Panther, but some expect her to be the first official X-Men in the MCU as Storm. As of now, those are just rumors, but not everyone was feeling that idea. It’s not to say Beyoncé wouldn’t be solid, but the idea of who would play Storm has always been up for debate.

The division comes from passionate fans who want the very best for their favorite royal born mutant. Storm has layers, any fan will tell you that, despite the horrid mistreatment of her character in the Fox franchise. Still, they were wise enough to get an Oscar award winner, Halle Berry, and a talented actress in Alexandra Shipp to play the role. Both women were very impressive, but they deserved better, Storm deserves better — Disney can give her that.

Who is Storm?

In the pages of Marvel comics, Storm became the face of the franchise during the 1975 X-Man relaunch. She was born Ororo Munroe, to a royal family whose home lies in the Great Rift Valley of Africa, an indigenous tribe of Kenya. Her mother N’Dare, moved to Egypt and married a photojournalist David Munroe, Storm’s father.

Storm faced near-death experiences after being trapped under rubble with her deceased parents. Hardcore fans know that the experience attributed to her struggle with claustrophobia. She took part in one of the more iconic arcs in Marvel history. Before the Mutant Massacre, Storm fought Morlocks’ leader Callisto for control of the underground mutant group.

Storm doesn’t just kick butt, she, of course, controls the weather and has a powerful effect on men. Most fans know about her and Forge’s love story, however, he’s not the only one. Plenty of Marvel characters threw themselves at her like Beast, Arkon, Wolverine, and even Doctor Strange. Still, some fans have their hearts set on seeing Storm with a member of the MCU, Black Panther. Which brings us to why fans want Storm in Black Panther 2.
