How would our favorite comic book characters fair in the opposite company.

Marvel and DC Comics have been the pinnacle of comic book success for decades. They are the measuring stick for comic book greatness and just about everyone knows them and their characters.

Comic book characters like Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man have been household names longer than we can remember. And the success of these characters and so many others has seen them transition from just comic books to movies, TV shows and video games, becoming pop culture icons in the process.

Their merchandise flies off the shelves. Even people who don’t read comic books or see their movies still collect their stuff. It looks cool and they’re fun to have displayed around our houses, in our lives and on our clothing.

In 1996 Marvel and DC teamed up to put out a mini comic series called DC vs. Marvel. Fans voted on which of the two companies’ characters would win in a fight. Storm battled Wonder Woman, Wolverine fought Lobo, and Superman went up against the Hulk. During that same series, they created Amalgam: Issues in which they combined some of their respective characters together to create someone – or something – new. For example, Wolverine and Batman became Dark Claw.

Now, the companies are probably too big to do something like this again, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate. What would happen if characters like Dr. Strange and Constantine switched places? Who would fare better in the other’s world? Which one would be better liked by their peers?

With all of that in mind, let’s take some of our favorite Marvel and DC comic book characters and see how they’d cope in each other’s worlds.
