This Thursday, Doom Patrol season 2 debuts. The DC Universe original series is a fan-favorite and now it’s back on two services for its new season.
Doom Patrol debuted on screens last season as a DC Universe original series. A spin-off of Titans – one that is albeit set in a different universe – the show followed a group of rag-tag outcasts who had been brought together by Dr. Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton) and eventually ended up becoming an unusual but endearing family.
However, when the world needed heroes, this group of outcasts stepped up. And, just like that, the Doom Patrol was born.

The show centers on Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser/Riley Shanahan), Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer/Matthew Zuk), Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Jane (Diane Guerrero) and Vic Stone/Cyborg (Jovian Wade) as the team go to war on behalf of Niles, taking on the unstoppable Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk) in the first season.
Doom Patrol became something of a critical darling during its first stint on the air, with fans and critics both praising it for its humorous tone and well-written plots. Some even saw it as DC Universe’s best show. And now it will return to DC Universe and debut on HBO Max with a three-part premiere.
