Crossbones

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is looked at as one of the (if not the) best movies in the MCU. It had everything from classic fight sequences to antagonists that you actually felt strongly about. Among those villains was Brock Rumlow. He fought Steve Rogers in the elevator fight scene and did more damage than you’d think. When he fought Falcon, he actually won the fight. If not for the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier crashing into the building, Falcon would have been killed.

We see Rumlow one more time in Captain America: Civil War where he appeared to be killed in battle. A great fighter and future Captain America villain killed for no reason.

Brock Rumlow (Crossbones) is a deplorable human being. He has no redeeming qualities and is one heck of a tough fighter who can talk trash with the best of them. The MCU needs more villains like this. All of the beings that the heroes fight usually have a backstory that makes the audience like them. Sometimes it’s good to despise who they’re fighting.

Crossbones in the comic books is a disciple and all of his ugly ways of thinking. With that in mind, there was still a lot of potential in the character that was never explored in the MCU and he could have served as a fitting Big Bad for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Disney Plus series.
