Harley Quinn season 3 is on everyone’s minds now that season 2 has come to an end, but when can we expect it?

Harley Quinn season 2 ends on DC Universe this week, bringing the excellent second season of the animated series to a close. Naturally, the attention of fans has now shifted to Harley Quinn season 3 and when we can expect it.

Is Harley Quinn season 3 happening?

Harley Quinn is one of DC Universe’s most beloved shows. The immensely popular animated series has run for two seasons on DC Universe – both of which have been met with acclaim from fans and critics. But is there a third season?

Shockingly enough, Harley Quinn has NOT been renewed for a third season yet. There’s clearly a demand for it because it was renewed for a second season pretty early into its freshman run, but we’ve yet to hear any updates on when there will be a third season.

Though fans are hoping for it and most think it’s likely, showrunner Patrick Shcumacker has confirmed that it has yet to be picked up by the streaming service.

Given everything happening in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s possible that the-powers-that-be at DC Universe just haven’t gotten round to making the big decisions yet and were waiting for the second season to finish out its run first. So keep the faith, Harley fans!

Harley Quinn season 3 premiere date

As Harley Quinn streams on the DC Universe, it’s hard to call a potential premiere date. The first season debuted at the end of November and ran for 13 weeks. However, the second season premiered just over a month after its predecessor came to an end in February, arriving in April.

If the show is renewed for a third season, it wouldn’t be too out there to expect new episodes in November once again (since the show is rather prompt in terms of returning), but due to everything happening in the world right now, it’s likely that it wouldn’t arrive until early next year.

If it does happen though, you can bet that it will stream on Fridays like the previous two seasons.

We don’t know yet if Harley Quinn will return for a third season, but if it does, you can bet that the likes of Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Ron Funches, Tony Hale, Jason Alexander, J.B. Smoove and Alan Tudyk will all return in somewhat prominent roles.

On top of that, expect loads of your Gotham City favorites to raise their heads in a recurring capacity because, at the end of the day, what is Gotham without its familiar line-up of heroes and villains.

As we don’t yet know if Harley Quinn has been renewed for season 3 yet, there is obviously no trailer.

In another year, DC Universe might have unveiled some new footage at San Diego Comic-Con, but given everything happening and the fact that it hasn’t been renewed yet, we won’t be getting a trailer for some time.

Let’s just hope that it isn’t too long until Harley and Poison Ivy are up to their old tricks again, getting revenge on those who wronged them and falling in love before our eyes.
