This Monday, a new episode of Stargirl streams on DC Universe. It is then followed by a TV broadcast on The CW on the following Tuesday night.
Stargirl is a new arrival in the superhero TV world but it has been praised by fans and critics over the past couple of weeks. Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) and the adventures that have followed her since she gained the Cosmic Staff has allowed the show to quickly become a fan-favorite, and now it’s back with another episode this week.
Recently, Courtney completed her very first mission as Stargirl. After defeating Brainwave (Christopher James Baker) set her up for success, the loss against Icicle (Neil Jackson) and the subsequent death of Joey Zarick (Wil Deusner) made her realize that she needed help stopping the Injustice Society. Thus, against the warning from her stepdad Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson), she reached out to some of her high school acquaintances.

Yolanda Montez (Yvette Monreal), Beth Chapel (Anjelika Washington) and Rick Tyler (Cameron Gellman) all proved themselves as heroes, becoming Wildcat, Dr. Mid-Nite and Hourman respectively. Together with Courtney, the four superheroes became the second generation of the Justice Society of America.
Though their battle against Sportsmaster (Neil Hopkins) and Tigress (Joy Osmanski) didn’t entirely go their way, they were backed up by Pat as S.T.R.I.P.E., allowing them have a united front against the villains and starting what looks to be a major comeback for the JSA. Now, however, Courtney will have to battle a new villain in Shiv – one that just so happens to be Cindy Burman (Meg DeLacy).
