Recent reports have indicated that The Flash will implement aspects of Flashpoint in order to initiate a soft reboot of the DCEU. Here are five things that should be kept in the universe.

Fans were elated to hear the news that Michael Keaton would be joining The Flash to don the cape and cowl once again, reprising his role as Batman. Reports indicate that this movie will adapt the Flashpoint storyline to introduce the multiverse into the DCEU.

Flashpoint was used to as a means to introduce The New 52 and reboot some aspects of the DC Universe in the comics. The DCEU hopes to do the same with The Flash movie.

The DCEU has had a rocky road since Man of Steel. Many of their movies have been divisive with only a small handful that people can agree on. It is understandable that Warner Bros. would want to press the reset button on their cinematic universe without having to completely restart from the ground up. Disney and Marvel were the innovators that were awarded time to build their universe.

Warner Bros. were in a rush to compete with the MCU, but now they need to do things right to provide a win-win for fans by delivering commercially successful movies that fans don’t have to be embarrassed to praise and support.

This question that the creatives of the cinematic universe are facing is probably something along the lines of: “What do we keep, and what do we take out?”

What Warner Bros. should remove from their cinematic universe can be put up for debate at another time. Here are five things that they should keep for the future of the DCEU.
